At Clark-Mortenson, we are passionate about giving back to our community by donating money and our time to local non-profits. In 2019, our Charity of Choice was Keene Housing Kids Collaborative. This year, we supported KHKC by collecting school supplies and backpacks. Leading up to the holidays, we donated hundreds of dollars worth of gifts for children to give their parents and siblings for KHKC’s Christmas Bazaar. Three employees volunteered at Keene Housing Kids Collaborative annual breakfast on November 8. We recently finished off our year working with this great organization by donating a $500 check, money we raised through our auction and other office events.
While KHKC was this year’s Charity of Choice, Clark-Mortenson supported many other area causes. For example, we had volunteers at the Savings Bank of Walpole Community Day on July 12, hosted three roadside cleanups, and assisted Stonewall Farm with spring planting in May. We raised a total of over five thousand dollars with 100% participation during the Monadnock United Way Pacesetter campaign over the summer. United Way celebrated their Day of Caring on September 27, and four employees volunteered their time at the Monadnock Humane Society to commemorate the occasion. We had volunteers at even more nonprofit organizations supporting the environment, youth, rescue animals, and more.
“Clark-Mortenson has been such a wonderful supporter for the Kids Collaborative since the very beginning... The Kids Collaborative could not have survived through the early startup stages and become the sustainable organization we are today without you.” - Liz Chipman, Executive Director Keene Housing Kids Collaborative
Clark-Mortenson many volunteer hours to area causes, but that’s not all. Throughout 2019, we provided over $15,000 in additional direct donations to local non-profits. We all look forward to continuing this community support in the new decade!
