IN OUR COMMUNITY - DOGGIE BAG DONATIONS

Over the last month, Clark-Mortenson’s Volunteer Committee has been organizing Doggie Bag Donations. Staff members have been collecting donations for two New Hampshire rescue organizations: 4TheLoveOfDog.org and Wags & Wiggles Rescue. Clark-Mortenson is working with both organizations to collect various dog items necessary to rescue dogs and help find them forever homes, giving them a chance to have a great life in New England.

About 4TheLoveOfDog

Founded in 2014, 4TheLoveOfDog is a non-profit, New Hampshire based rescue focused on taking in Rotweillers and Pitbulls. Although they are focused on helping these two misunderstood breeds, 4TheLoveOfDog assists with the rescue of thousands of other animals.

Wags & Wiggles Rescue

Wags & Wiggles is another New Hampshire based rescue for all breeds. They make it their mission to find abandoned and mistreated dogs loving homes. In addition to helping dogs, Wags & Wiggles does more than their part in educating the public about how we can best help animals.

What Can You Do to Help?

Today there is a huge issue with broken commitments resulting in unwanted pets that end up abandoned or surrendered. A lot of these animals are left to live out their lives in shelters, but there are several ways you can help.

  • Donate items to your local shelters/rescues
  • Sponsor a dog
  • Donate your time
  • Foster a dog

If you’re unable to do these, the most valuable thing you can do for these animals is to start the conversation and spread the word. The more people talking about animal welfare, the more we can help these animals and give them the lives they deserve.

In our recent efforts to raise money for the Monadnock United Way campaign, we held an internal 50/50 raffle. The employee who won this, donated her funds to the two dog rescues to help them buy items for the doggie bags. A big thank you goes out to everyone that has helped so far.
