Advanced Employee Manual Seminar
A half-day workshop to help companies understand the importance of employee manuals and a step-by-step review of your current employee manual, updated to include the latest guidance from the NLRB.
Workshop Overview
With a focus on specific situations, this workshop will help you avoid common mistakes that could leave you open to potentially costly lawsuits. Prior to the seminar, we will audit your current employee manual and return it to you at the seminar with our suggestions. If your organization does not have one, you will leave the seminar with a template and roadmap to create your own. When an employer is sued, the employee handbook is often used in court to help establish company polices and potential violations. Incorrectly written, your employee manual can create more problems for you than it solves. You want a manual that protects you and your employees, not one that could be used as evidence against you.
You will learn:
- The latest best practices, including guidance from NLRB
- Why your company needs an employee manual
- What your manual doesn’t say could be as important as what it does say
- What statements must be included in your manual
- How to implement changes and new forms to your current manual
This workshop is a must for: business owners, HR directors, managers and anyone else responsible for dealing with employee rights and concerns.
Presented by Business Solutions Advisors Jim Hill and Kenneth M. McGee II, CIC.
