Did You Know? Ask the Experts!

  • Running a business out of your home?

If so, your Homeowner’s policy may not cover you in the event of a loss related to your business. Homeowner’s policies have limitations when it comes to business personal property and liability may be excluded.

  • What is “Strict” Liability?

When it comes to liability there can be instances where liability is ”strict”. For instance, if your dog were to bite someone or a child were to fall in to your pool, you could be held responsible for these even if there was no negligence on your part. Having adequate limits of liability on your Homeowner policy, along with the extra protection of an Umbrella policy is very important.

  • Do you drive when you volunteer?

If you are using your vehicle while volunteering and are reimbursed for mileage, you may not be covered in the event you are involved in an auto accident.
