Youth Employment Law Changes

Recent changes expanded the number of consecutive days and total hours a 16-17 year old may work depend on how many days of school are in session for that workweek.

Pay History Ban

VT employers are prohibited from making salary or compensation history inquiries of prospective employees.

Sexual Harassment

Vermont Fair Employment Practices Act provides protection for all workers not just those classified as employees.
