At the Ready for Our Communities
Giving back and enriching the communities we serve is a part of Clark-Mortenson’s mission. We foster this mission by providing our employees with paid volunteer time and allow them to use their time to support both our Charities of Choice (COC) and organizations of their own choosing. The COC program gives us the opportunity to work with local organizations and focus on helping them with fun and fundraising. We accept nominations for our annual selection of our COC’s throughout the year by completing a submission on our web page. Our Community and Volunteerism Committee reviews and selects recipients in January each year.
Our primary 2018 Charities of Choice were the Keene Family YMCA, the Walpole Village School, and Arrowhead Recreation Area. Additionally, we supported a number of smaller projects including a clothing drive by employees for Linda’s Closet and Shining Success; Wags and Wiggles, For the Love of Dog, and Tabs for Taylor. The agency also always does an annual food drive during the holidays and makes distributions to Woodstock Community Food Shelf; Brattleboro Food Shelf, Fall Mountain Food Shelf, Claremont Soup Kitchen, and the Keene Community Kitchen. Clark-Mortenson is also proud to keep a beautiful stretch of highway clean through the Adopt-A-Highway program. And finally, our staff actively serves on boards of different civic and volunteer organizations, logging hundreds of hours to support those in need in our community.
