Personal Insurance Account Manager

Excellent career opportunity for energetic, positive individual looking to be part of a fast-paced team committed to helping protect people’s personal assets. The position can be in either our Claremont, NH or Keene, NH location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of insurance, hold their property and casualty insurance license and believe in the value that insurance products provide for individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Handle an existing book of business.  Review coverage, educate clients, cross sell product and retain business.
  • New business sales of home and auto insurance.
  • Support of outside sales team.
  • Coordinate and manage the renewal process, adhering to all deadlines.
  • Understand product offerings from multiple insurance companies.
  • General administrative support in the department (phones, quoting, proposals and data entry.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Particularly Excel, Word & Adobe
  • Exceptional customer service skills.  Able to easily build relationships with clients at all levels.  Must be able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
  • Confident self-starter who works well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • 2+ years experience with personal insurance exposures.
  • If not already licensed, must attain a property and casualty license in the required time after starting.

Employee Benefits Account Manager

We are currently seeking to fulfill a full-time position servicing our small to mid-sized Employee Benefits Clients. Our Customer Service Account Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our current clients and new prospects, processing policy change requests, maintain knowledge of our products, and answer any questions our clients may have.

Current producer license for life and health insurance preferred but not required.  Experience with understanding Group Medical, Dental, Vision and Life is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Handle client renewals including marketing spreadsheets, plan changes and administrative issues.
  • Serve as liaison between client and insurance companies to resolve any service issues.
  • Create proposals for both new business and renewals
  • Provide quality, professional service to clients in all aspects and phases of existing insurance accounts, including renewal marketing, providing accurate information to underwriters and respond to client requests in a timely manner.  Offer advice on other support services offered through our company. (e.g. HR and Compliance Support).
  • Provide quality professional service to clients in all aspects and phases of writing and on-boarding new business clients, including developing market strategies.
  • Visit clients and assist in open enrollment meetings.
  • Prepare and work on special Group Benefit projects. 

Requirements

  • Familiar with the local health insurance market, as well as key legislation impacting the benefits space (COBRA, healthcare reform / exchanges, ACA, general compliance issues).
  • Group Health Account Manager experience handling small to medium size groups and individual life and health.
  • Understanding of insurance carrier plans for Group Medical, Dental, Vision & Life, and willing to continue learn in supporting areas of HR and Compliance.
  • Adaptable to a fast-changing environment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently and within a team structure.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, follow through with and meet deadlines on a daily basis.
  • Current Producer’s License in Life & Health preferred
  • Proficient in Word & Excel.
